Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ's

1.) How do you clean carpets?

We use truck mounted steam cleaning (the big gas powered unit in the truck). We spray detergent on the carpet first then rinse it out with high pressure hot water. A powerful suction pulls the dirt , water and detergent out to the truck leaving very little moisture in the carpet.

2.) Drying time?

Usually carpets take 4-6 hours to dry (sometimes up to 24 hours if they were dirtier and require more steaming) if you wipe your shoes off well you can walk on them anytime that you want.

3.) Is there anything I should do to prepare for your arrival?

It's a good idea to vacuum before we arrive and make sure that toys, clothes and and knick-knacks are picked up from the floors and tables.

4.) Will my child or pet be harmed?

No, our detergents are non-toxic and are sprayed down first and rinsed out in the cleaning process with pure, clear, super heated water.

5.) How do I treat spills?

With any liquid place a folded towel over it and step on it until you remove the liquid. With the remainder clean with a mild soap working from the outer edges in. Our favorite off the shelf products are "Resolve" and "Capture".

6.) Other carpet-cleaning firms are cheaper. Why is that?

We do quality carpet cleaning and give you an accurate idea of the price ahead of time, other companies do bait and switch and surprise you with a much higher price when they are in your home.

7.) How often should my carpet be cleaned?

If you have allergies you should get your carpets cleaned every 3-6 months. If you have a busy household at least every six months, in all other cases yearly.
